How Email Deliverability works?

Email deliverability refers to the ability of an email to successfully reach its intended recipient's inbox. 


There are several factors that can affect email deliverability, including the email sender's reputation, the content of the email, and the recipient's email server settings. 


Our Email Deliverability tool has two components available, Once you’ve created your account, you will be able to opt and check either Inbox Placement or Blacklist Monitoring.


The process is fuss-free and easy to use, allowing users to efficiently and accurately understand their email deliverability which significantly impacts their email performance.



Here are the steps you need to take to check your Email Deliverability:



Check your Inbox Placement


To check your inbox placement using our Email Deliverability tool, you can follow these steps:


  1. Create an account After creating an account on EmailListValidation, you can access the Inbox Placement feature page; 

  2. Copy or Export the seed email list: Retrieve the seed email list provided to you by clicking “Copy” or by clicking “Export” to download the Seed email list as . CSV file;

  3. Set up the test: you have your seed email list and you can proceed with pasting it into your ‘send to’ field on your email service provider or your Email Marketing tool, like MailChimp...etc, then send your test email to the seed email list, in your email service provider like Gmail, Outlook or on your email marketing platforms like MailChimp or mailGun…Create a test email that you can use to check your inbox placement and send it to the copied list;

  4. Run the test: Once you send your test email, return to the Inbox placement page on our website and click Confirm to start the test, and wait for the results.

We will send your test email to the seed email list and provide you with a report on your inbox placement. 


The report will show you how many emails were delivered to the inbox, how many were marked as spam, and how many were not delivered at all.


  • The inbox placement of your message for every email service provider from Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo … etc ;

  • An accurate percentage of your email deliverability;

  • Whether your message has passed the authentification methods -DKIM, DMARK, and SPF;

  • Extra information about your SpamAssassin score


Check your Domain and IP for Blacklist Monitoring?


Blacklist monitoring is a crucial task for website administrators to ensure that their website is not being blocked by internet service providers (ISPs) or email providers due to malicious activity or spamming. To check whether your domain and IP address is blacklisted or not, you can follow the steps below:


  • Click the Blacklist Monitoring segment

  • Enter your domain name in the search box provided.

  • Click on the "Check" button to initiate the search.

  • Wait for the results to load. Our tool will display a list of all the blacklists that your domain is listed on if any.

  •  Review the results and take action if your domain is listed on any of the blacklists. This could involve contacting the relevant blacklist provider to request removal, or investigating why your domain has been blacklisted in the first place.
